The Saudi General Directorate of Border Guard has thwarted several smuggling attempts, seizing 1.3 tons of hashish, 1,388,622 narcotic pills and 136 tons of khat.
The operations took place in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, and Najran, and resulted in the arrest of 959 Ethiopians, 849 Yemenis, three Somalis and Eritreans, and 12 Saudis.
