His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Duke of Edinburgh Prince Edward at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, remains committed to strengthening co-operation and joint co-ordination with the United Kingdom.
He highlighted the long-standing historic bilateral relations and multi-faceted co-operation between Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
HRH Prince Salman welcomed the Duke of Edinburgh and his accompanying delegation to the kingdom.
He emphasised the importance of further developing bilateral relations to achieve mutual aspirations.
Regional and international issues of common interest were also discussed.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister hosted a lunch banquet in honour of the Duke of Edinburgh and his accompanying delegation.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s adviser Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Isa Bin Salman Education Charitable Trust board of trustees chairman and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
