A 120-year-old funeral home in Japan has opened a unique cafe that offers customers the chance to experience a symbolic death.
For the price of 2,200 yen (BD5.5), customers of the Kajiya Honten cafe can lie down in one of three intricately decorated coffins. The coffins are adorned with gold and floral motifs.
To enhance the experience, customers can even have someone close the lid of the coffin while they're inside.
The cafe's owner believes that this unusual experience can make people feel like having a symbolic rebirth.
