FESTIVE gift hunters flocked to the American Women’s Association (AWA) annual Snowflake Craft Fair and helped the charity champions raise around BD3,000 for good causes.
The event attracted more than 650 people at the Gulf Convention Centre in Adliya to purchase goodies and delights produced by 105 talented vendors selling treats, holiday gifts, bath bombs, crochet toys, art pieces and more.
Attendees enjoyed browsing the various stalls, participating in corals sung by Manama Singers, and soaking in the joyous spirit of the season with delicious homemade goodies.
“We are thrilled with the turnout and the generous support from our community,” said AWA president Susie Bowler. “The funds raised will make a significant impact on the lives of those in need while also showcasing the incredible talent of our local crafters and small business owners, who were benefited through this event.”
The fair, first held in 1976, was not only a shopping opportunity, but also a celebration of community spirit. Families enjoyed festive activities, live entertainment and the chance to connect with local artisans and charity representatives.
“Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered and supported this year’s Snowflake Craft Fair,” she said. We look forward to seeing you next year for another enjoyable and impactful event!”
The AWA also commemorated its 50th anniversary in Bahrain earlier this month, highlighting its remarkable achievement of raising around BD200,000 during the past decade to support more than 35 good causes in Bahrain.
