A traffic camera in Dortmund captured the moment when a driver dressed as ‘Cookie Monster’ sped down the highway going over 100kph in an 80kph zone.
The German police have launched a search for the person who was dressed as the beloved Sesame Street character.
He was found speeding down the road, and police said the incident could have turned fatal as the costume potentially obscured vision at such speeds.
The driver faces 100 euros worth of fines if caught, for both speeding and wearing the costume, as coverings such as those are illegal when driving in Germany.
