A 38-year-old math teacher tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the Uzungöl-Çaykara highway in Türkiye around 10 pm on Monday (August 19). The incident occurred when his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, causing it to crash into concrete barriers and fall 8-10 meters off a bridge into the river below.
Firefighters and emergency medical teams responded to the scene after being alerted by passing drivers. Despite extensive efforts, rescue teams were only able to recover the teacher's remains and transport them to the Trabzon Forensic Medicine Institute.
