I was deeply saddened one afternoon to see a young family, who seemed to be visiting from a neighbouring GCC country, park their luxury SUV in front of a local restaurant and then, after stepping out of the vehicle, throw two bags filled with trash on the road.
The act of littering wasn’t what bothered me the most, but it was the kind of lessons the three young kids – all of whom did not look more than 10 years old – were being taught by the elders accompanying them .
