According to the police, the three accused were being directed by drug dealers outside the country to smuggle and bring in more than 226kgs of hash, psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs and to sell them within the country.
The police reportedly received a tip-off and the Anti-Narcotics Department began its field operations to identify the smugglers, monitor them, and establish their connection to regional and international smuggling networks.
