A new culinary adventure is set to offer guests a diverse and delicious experience with a wide-ranging buffet of specialties from Asia.
Hilton Bahrain has announced the launch of Pan Asian Night, a weekly celebration of gastronomic delights from the continent. Guests can savour authentic flavours of traditional creations, from aromatic curries to noodle dishes and sizzling stir-fries, as well as an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options.
The centrepiece of the buffet will be the Peking Duck carving station where chefs will skilfully slice and serve the iconic Chinese delicacy.
A special media event preceded the launch where participants’ knowledge of Asian food was put to the test in a friendly ‘BuzzFeed’-style competition.
Five dishes – Vietnamese spring rolls, Japanese Maki (sushi), the Indonesian Gado-gado salad, Chinese Peking duck and a Thai coconut milk-based dessert – were served to the media who had to identify the creations and guess their country of origin.
This was followed by Hilton Bahrain food and beverage manager Kevin Rowe revealing the correct answer and sharing interesting information about the dish. The event ended with lunch comprising other interesting creations like Pad Thai, Sweet and Sour Fish and Kung Pao Chicken, which will also feature on the weekly buffet.
“We are thrilled to introduce this new culinary experience to our guests,” Mr Rowe told the GDN.
“Pan Asian cuisine is incredibly diverse, with influences from China, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia, India and beyond. Our Pan Asian Night allows diners to embark on a flavourful journey through the breadth of Asian gastronomy, where authenticity is a top priority.
“Our culinary team has meticulously crafted the Pan Asian Night menu to ensure that each dish offers an authentic representation of traditional Asian flavours. From the fragrant spices in our curries to the delicate balance of sweet, sour, and umami in our noodle dishes, we have gone to great lengths to capture the essence of time-honoured recipes and cooking techniques,” he added.
Junior sous chef Roxanne Refuerzo, fondly referred to by her colleagues as Chef Roxy, is the ‘face’ of Pan Asian Night and has created the dishes under the leadership of executive chef Karim Aghai who has been passionate about launching this unique promotion, bringing the best of Asian dining in one single offering.
“At Hilton Bahrain, we’re always encouraging women empowerment and we’re happy to have Chef Roxanne as the face of our new promotion,” a Hilton Bahrain representative added.
The Pan Asian Night at the Hilton Bahrain is the latest addition to the hotel’s robust culinary offerings, which include a range of international dining experiences. The offer runs every Wednesday, from 7pm to 10pm, and is priced at BD22 with unlimited soft drinks and BD28 with unlimited beverages.
