Students of Pakistan Urdu School Bahrain won third place in a highly-competitive contest, and walked away with BD 200 in prize money.
Victory for the school was secured by its fourth year students Maryyam Qamar, Parsa Ali, Hazem Hisham and Mohamed Maged at the Smart Investor National Competition, which was organised by INJAZ, a non-profit organisation aiming to empower young people.
The competition was the final step in completing the overall course called the Smart Investor Programme, which aims to equip students with basic concepts such as money management, savings and smart financial planning.
Present at the event, which took place at the Royal Saray Resort, was INJAZ chairperson Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Bahrain Bourse’s chief executive Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, alongside Education Ministry officials and school co-ordinators.
