More than 1,200 trees have been planted across 11 schools as part of the first phase of an initiative aimed at enhancing greenery around places of learning in the Northern Governorate.
The move is being promoted by the Northern Municipality, in co-operation with the Education Ministry, as part of efforts to contribute to the objectives of the National Afforestation Plan and to raise awareness about the importance of helping the country become greener .
