AROUND 500kg of waste was collected during one of the largest beach clean-ups organised recently by Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in the kingdom and a subsidiary of Solidarity Group Holding.
The event, at Malkiya and Karbabad, was held in collaboration with The National Project LAMEA, SICO Bank, Cleanup Bahrain, Nidukki, and Ibn Khuldoon National School.
More than 130 volunteers took part in the campaign. Of the waste collected, 65kg included recyclable materials, highlighting the impact of the event in addressing the issue of marine pollution.
“As part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, Solidarity Bahrain continues to foster a sense of community engagement, raise awareness about the detrimental effects of marine pollution, and encourage responsible waste management practices,” said Solidarity Bahrain assistant general manager, corporate support, Mohammed Awachi.
