EXPLORE the many faces and facets of truth as an original Hindi-language play, titled Yatharth, is set to be staged tomorrow.
Written by Bahrain-based playwright and director Anupam Ramesh Kinger, the 80-minute play is based in a beautiful picturesque village of India in the 1950s.
Yatharth, the name of the main character, grows up to believe his mother is the victim of many atrocities; however, comes to learn that his mother is inflicting pain on others as well.
Art and music will be the central theme throughout the night as live instrumentals will be performed, alongside an art exhibition where 10 Indian artists will display pieces around ‘the real truth’ – the play’s tag line.
The artworks will be showcased in the foyer of the Cultural Hall where guests can view the paintings after leaving the auditorium, giving them a deeper perception of the underlying themes of the play.
It is being produced by Ms Kinger’s theatre company Khwabgaah.
The play will be staged at the Bahrain Cultural Hall, in Manama, from 7pm, tomorrow. It costs BD10 and BD25 for Donor Pass.
All profits from the night will be shared with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.
