Al Azhar Al Sharif has called on Arabs and Muslims “to take a unified position in the face of the inhumane Western circumvention that supports the Israeli occupation’s violation of all Palestinian civilian rights”.
In a Press statement yesterday, it called for an international investigation into the war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against children, women and the elderly in the besieged and isolated Gaza Strip.
It urged the Arab and Islamic countries to realise their religious and historical duty and responsibilities, rush to provide humanitarian and relief aid quickly, and ensure it reaches the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
