Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro has affirmed the importance of strengthening co-operation among the standardisation bodies in the GCC countries.
Mr Fakhro, who headed Bahrain’s delegation in the fifth GCC meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Standardisation Affairs, noted that the gains and advantages that come through integration in various areas of standardisation would contribute to supporting the Gulf economy by emphasising the importance of imported and exported products that meet technical requirements and smart conformity assessment procedures .
