A BAHRAINI think tank has launched a survey to gather the opinions of parents whose children attend primary, middle and secondary levels in both public and private schools.
The survey, titled ‘Parents’ Readiness for Students’ Return to School’, launched by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) aims to gauge parents’ opinions on the effectiveness of existing psychological support for students and their academic readiness and workload.
It also seeks to identify the preferred channels of communication, measures needed to address bullying, students’ requirements for the new academic year, and the desired amount of after-school recreational hours.
“The survey targets a diverse sample of parents and once the data is collected, will be analysed and presented in a comprehensive report to be released at a later date,” said Derasat Surveys and Opinion Polls Directorate head of statistical analysis Ahmed Al Ammadi.
The survey can be accessed through the centre’s website and a QR code on their social media accounts or you can click on this link.
With a new academic year starting tomorrow in public schools, a total of 155,000 students will return to 209 government institutions and 90,000 more will get back to 80 private schools.
