The Pakistani Women’s Association (PWA), Bahrain, is a charitable and welfare organisation which has evolved and thrived since its inception in 1998.
The PWA has been continuously supporting the needy and the underprivileged, while simultaneously uniting the community in Bahrain through the powerful message of inclusion.
During the past several years, the association has launched numerous collaborations, fundraisers, welfare drives, educational scholarships, awareness campaigns and youth collaboratives.
As the team grows stronger each year, its vision going forward is that of unity and reachability, with the association pledging to continue its efforts to help the distressed and those in need, as well as develop its Youth Ambassadors Programme (YAP).
“Social causes have always been close to my heart. I have always held on to possibilities that came my way to bring some ease and relief to my fellow citizens in times of adversity, in my homeland and in Bahrain,” said PWA president Shahmeen Islam.
“We are truly honoured and humbled to have the constant support of the Embassy of Pakistan, especially from the Pakistani Ambassador, His Excellency Muhammad Ayub,” she added.
PWA invites all women and the youth in Bahrain to join its efforts in creating ‘waves of aid’.
