HUMIDITY levels are expected to increase significantly over the next few days, at times exceeding 90 per cent, Meteorological Directorate at the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry said yesterday.
This will result in hot and humid weather during the coming days, with the possibility of low horizontal visibility in some areas, said the directorate.
Bahrain has been affected in the past few days by moderate to brisk northwesterly winds during the daytime, which caused maximum temperatures to hit the high 40s, it added.
Light and moderate easterly winds start affecting the region with the retreat of northwesterly winds.
The directorate stressed the need to follow up on the latest weather developments and updates through its official channels.
