Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi and Sustainable Development Minister Noor Al Khulaif met with Amina J Mohammed, the United Nations deputy secretary-general and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, on the sidelines of Bahrain’s participation at the United Nations High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2023, to present the country’s second Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the progress made towards achieving the sustainable development goals and accelerating the realisation of the 2030 Agenda.
Ms Al Romaihi outlined the ministry’s focused efforts to provide citizens with housing services and shared details on the latest affordable financing schemes that offer immediate and sustainable housing services, in partnership with the private sector .
