Dubai Criminal Court has convicted a young man for attempting to replace his sample with his brother's during drug testing.
Public Prosecution revealed that the accused had agreed to provide his sample for drug testing at a specified date, but police had found a large needle on his person containing his brother's sample upon arrival.
The man admitted that he had planned to use his brother's sample as he had drugs in his system.
The Court of First Instance ruled that he pay a fine of Dh10,000 and spend one year in prison.
