World-renowned British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves states that he believes the entrance to the famed tomb of Queen Nefertiti may have been hiding right under our noses all this time.
Reeves stated the discovery of hidden hieroglyphs inside Tutankhamun's tomb may indicate that Queen Nefertiti's tomb may be hidden right next to her step-son's burial chamber.
The realisation came after Reeves discovered that the cartouches(carvings or tablets) depicting Tutankhamun's burial had been painted over depictions of Nefertiti's burial.
When Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in 1922, it was one of the biggest archaeological discoveries of the time.
His chamber was filled with chariots, chairs and other treasures that were intended to help him in his afterlife.
Queen Nefertiti's tomb is expected to be an even bigger discovery, considering her reputation as one of the most beautiful women of the time and as Queen of Egypt at the time.
Reeves said that while the theory remains unproven after scans of Tutankhamun's tomb proved inconclusive, the new clue has reinvigorated the search for Nefertiti's tomb.
