THOUSANDS of government schoolchildren jumped in joy as they returned to their classes yesterday for the start of the new 2022-2023 academic year after more than two years of remote education due to the pandemic.
More than 147,000 students wearing new school uniforms were greeted at the gates of their schools by teachers, administrators and faculty with roses, sweets and gifts .
