BAHRAINI camels Khateera and Akaber shone at the Crown Prince Camel Festival, held in Saudi, by clinching a 1-2 yesterday.
Khateera triumphed in the first evening race (Haqayeq Bakar) clocking two minutes and 58 seconds as part of the final races and Akaber came second to confirm the Bahraini domination.
His Majesty the King’s representative for humanitarian works and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa pointed out that the Bahraini camels’ accomplishments in Saudi reflect the successful journey of the sport in major events in light of the broad participation and the strong competition witnessed in the Crown Prince Camel Festival.
