Readers of the British newspaper Daily Mail criticised Prime Minister Boris Johnson, after his speech and congratulations to Ukrainians on Easter, and for writing a text in Ukrainian on his page on “Twitter”.
While congratulating Christians on Easter, the British Prime Minister said that “Christ’s message of the victory of life over death and good over evil will be more important this year, perhaps more than any other year.” He also wrote a post on Twitter in Ukrainian.
Readers of the Daily Mail criticised Johnson, saying he had forgotten the country he ruled.
Others questioned whether Johnson was “the prime minister of Great Britain or Ukraine?”
They urged him to “think first of all, of Britain, where families live the daily struggle caused by large-scale price increases”.
“He should have taken care of us and apologised that he is still prime minister,” wrote one of the newspaper’s readers.
The British prime minister recently announced that he will continue to provide military assistance to Kyiv against a backdrop of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.
