KUWAIT - Kuwait dispatched the 23rd relief aircraft to Syria on Tuesday, carrying 10 tons of flour as part of the ongoing relief campaign, organized by the Kuwait Zakat House in coordination with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence
In a statement to KUNA, before the plane's departure, the Projects and Local Organizations Superintendent at the Zakat House, Aayed Al-Mutairi emphasized that the continuation of the air bridge reflects Kuwait's deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian assistance and the historical ties between the two nations.
The aid shipments were requested by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), which assesses urgent needs across provinces, particularly in light of the increasing demand for essential food, medicine, and shelter supplies due to instability and a lack of infrastructure, Al-Mutain explained.
He also noted that Kuwait Zakat House plans to expand relief efforts by organizing ground convoys in the near future, aiming to transport large quantities of essential supplies and that these efforts are being coordinated with Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign.
Affairs and other relevant authorities to facilitate cross-border humanitarian assistance.
