BEIJING - The Chinese commerce ministry said on Thursday that China was willing to work with the United States to promote stable and healthy development of economic and trade ties, when asked about President Donald Trump's threat of fresh tariffs.
Tariff measures are not good for China, the United States, and the entire world, He Yadong, spokesperson at the commerce ministry, said at a regular news conference.
On Tuesday, Trump said his administration was discussing a 10% punitive duty on Chinese imports because fentanyl was being sent from China to the US via Mexico and Canada.
