A father tried to frame his son for shooting his wife in the city of Sohag in southern Egypt.
The strange incident happened after the 64-year-old conspired with his wife that he was going to shoot her in the leg and then she was going to accuse his son of shooting her.
After arriving at Dar Al Salam Hospital in Sohag with a bullet wound to her calf, the wife accused the son as planned.
However, after an investigation into the incident started it was quickly clear that things were not as they were presented and that the husband was the shooter.
The man confessed after being confronted about it by police and led them to the weapon he used.
The motive behind the framing attempt is a land dispute between the father and son, according to reports.
The case is still ongoing as of the time of writing.
