The Lower Criminal Court sentenced the head of a Haj campaign to one year in prison for forging permits and disclosing false information about the pilgrims to the High Committee for Haj and Umrah Affairs.
The Public Prosecution received a tip-off from the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry that the Saudi Interior Ministry had seized 12 fake permits from the pilgrims affiliated with the campaign while they were heading to Mecca to perform their rituals .
