Panic spread among citizens of the Egyptian province of Beni Suef as an unidentified animal, described as "strange," attacked multiple people.
The animal, which resembled a wolf, was identified by locals as "Suluwa," a term derived from Arab folklore typically to describe a wolf or fox-like creature that attacks people who disturb graves or ancient temples.
The unidentified animal was first spotted in southern Egyptian villages in the 1960s but reportedly disappeared, only to reappear again in February 2019.
Experts have suggested that the animal could be a hybrid between Egyptian wolves and dogs that live in the desert area and they said such creatures can be quite vicious.
The animal remains at large.
