MMA – EUROPEAN mixed martial arts (MMA) has experienced rapid growth over the past few years, thanks to the vision of the crown jewel of Bahrain sports, BRAVE Combat Federation.
BRAVE CF 88, held in Slovenia, further demonstrated why the organisation is the industry leader in the continent.
BRAVE CF is the most hosted MMA organisation in Europe, having staged events in 15 European countries. These include Northern Ireland, England, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria, and by bringing MMA to nations often overlooked by global organisations, BRAVE CF has expanded the sport’s reach across the continent.
BRAVE CF 88 reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to European MMA and made history as the biggest MMA event on the continent.
It crowned two new world champions, with Erko Jun winning the Light Heavyweight title and Pavel Dailidko becoming the inaugural BRAVE CF Heavyweight world champion.
The fact that both champions are European adds even more significance to the occasion.
In addition to these historic fights, the event showcased some of Europe’s top MMA talent.
Slovenian fighters Monika Kucinic, Miha Frlic, Kirill Negru, and Luka Podkrajsek highlighted Slovenia’s growing presence in global MMA, thanks to the platform provided by BRAVE CF.
Estonia’s Kristjan Toniste and Serbia’s Marina Spasic also delivered standout performances, bringing attention to MMA in their respective countries.
With a sold-out crowd and a record-breaking gate in Slovenia, BRAVE CF 88 has set a new standard for MMA events in Europe. Moving forward, future MMA events on the continent will likely be measured against the success of BRAVE CF 88.
