Five individuals, including airport general department employees, were arrested in Kuwait for their involvement in an international drug smuggling operation.
Authorities seized 60 kilogrammes of marijuana and hashish valued at approximately KWD 750,000 from the suspects. The drugs were smuggled into Kuwait from a European country with the assistance of the airport employees, who exploited their positions to facilitate the operation.
The seized drugs and suspects were handed over to the Drug Prosecution Office for further legal proceedings.
