ATHLETICS – Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa has instructed the GSA to organise the Khalid Bin Hamad Gold Generation Athletics League 2024 later this month.
Shaikh Khalid said that this league aims to engage the largest possible number of sports federations in the Gold Generation initiative and to provide them with the opportunity to develop their talent discovery programmes.
He highlighted the efforts and support of the participating sports federations and clubs towards the initiative, which has significantly contributed to identifying and developing talent over the past two seasons.
Over 15 sports federations are expected to participate in the event, with around 1,000 male and female athletes under the age of 18.
