Bahrain has become the first destination in the Middle East in applying gene editing to treat blood disorders, Royal Medical Services (RMS) Commander Brigadier Dr Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed.
He stressed RMS’ commitment in co-operation with the Health Ministry and Government Hospitals to implement plans dedicated to treating patients in Bahrain .
