Lando Norris began his career as a Formula 1 driver with McLaren in 2019.
His first grand prix in Sakhir in motorsport’s top flight was in that season’s second round, when he placed an impressive sixth to score his first-ever F1 points.
Prior to that weekend’s race at Bahrain International Circuit, Norris was the star attraction in a visit to St Christopher’s school, where he treated 260 students to a memorable time, arranged by Mumtalakat.
Norris packed the school hall for a question-and-answer session where he spoke about his life being F1’s youngest driver at the time.
At the event, the students took part in a quiz to find out who had learnt the most about their special guest. The top three winners each received a pair of tickets to that year’s Bahrain Grand Prix, courtesy of Mumtalakat, while signed McLaren caps were awarded to runners-up.
