His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, yesterday received Parliament Speaker Fouzia Zainal and Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh at Riffa Palace.
He affirmed that greater collaboration between the executive and legislative branches ensures the success of ongoing development initiatives and ensures the state budget for 2021-2022 supports such development goals, particularly during Covid-19.
HRH Prince Salman noted that the global Covid-19 pandemic challenged Team Bahrain to demonstrate its ability to triumph in adversity and shape its own success story.
Acknowledging that the challenges ahead require further determination and commitment, he underlined the importance of progressing policies that support private sector development and innovation, in parallel with ongoing work to bridge the fiscal gap.
The Parliament Speaker and the Shura Council chairman expressed their gratitude to HRH Prince Salman for supporting enhanced co-operation between the executive and legislative branches.
Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Shura Council and Parliament Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain were present.
