Abu Dhabi: Two Asian nationals were drowned off the coast of Ajman corniche as they were swimming in the sea.
Civil Defence divers pulled out their bodies and took them to Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital in the emirate of Ajman.
The divers also intervened promptly and rescued three Arab nationals who were on the brink of drowning whilst swimming.
Ajman Civil Defence Media and Public Relations chief Colonel Nasser Rashid Al-Zeri urged people not to swim in the sea and warned them of unsettled weather conditions and dangerous water currents, reported local Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.
