Doha: A new park was thrown open for the public by Al Khor-Al Dhakhira Municipality in Al Khor City.
Spread over an area of 14,000 square metres, the park includes green spaces, trees and a small lake with ducks.
It also has a play area for kids, jogging track, benches for people to relax in the shade.
It took some eight months to build and complete the park and is a good addition to the urban landscape of Al Khor city, The Peninsula quoted Al Khor-Al Dhakhira Municipality officials as saying.
The Public Monitoring Section at Doha Municipality, meanwhile, conducted an inspection drive in Bin Mahmoud area and registered cases of violations by shops that had blocked public sidewalks.
