Manama: Zain Bahrain, the most innovative operator in the kingdom, has signed an agreement with BENEFIT paving the way for its customers to process online transactions and payments through all retail banks connected with the BENEFIT electronic funds transfer system (EFTS) service.
The agreement further positions Zain Bahrain as a customer-centric and convenient operator.
“The agreement is the culmination of efforts between Zain Bahrain and BENEFIT to offer customers the option to use the banks’ various channels including Internet banking, mobile banking and branches in a more convenient manner. The service will allow Zain Bahrain customers to view their bills online and process payments in a hassle-free manner and through the click of a button,” said Zain Bahrain general manager Mohamed Zaeenulabdeen.
“Customers will also be able to inquire postpaid bills and top-up prepaid accounts. Also they will be able to devise a direct payment process if required,” Mr Zaeenulabdeen added.
“It is a great opportunity for us in BENEFIT to extend our long and prosperous relation with Zain Bahrain; being the payment hub in Bahrain we are glad to offer various payment solutions to the community of Bahrain in collaboration with Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and the banking community,” said BENEFIT chief executive Abdulwahid Janahi.
The EFTS service is connected to various channels of retail banks in the kingdom such as branches, Internet banking and mobile banking. The national project, kick-started by the CBB in November, and it connects all retail banks in Bahrain with the community.
