Saudi: The Mecca Development Authority (MDA) has started selling tickets to pilgrims planning to use the train “Al-Mashaer Metro”, during the Haj season.
The MDA officials expect to transport up 360,000 pilgrims whose camps are located near the metro stations.
These include mainly pilgrims from inside Saudi Arabia, South Asian countries, Arab states, Turkey, Europe and the USA.
The tickets priced at SR250 enable pilgrims to use all Al Mashaer Metro stations. Tickets will be in the form of bracelets to be worn by pilgrims to ensure that they do not lose them.
The Al Mashaer Metro is expected to transport over two million pilgrims during the days preceding the Eid Al Adha and the days after Eid.
