Dubai: The Civil Defence teams have put out the blaze at The Address Downtown Dubai hotel on the New Year's eve.
Roughly 30 vehicles from Dubai Police and the Civil Defence were at the scene, with major access roads in Downtown Dubai blocked off from traffic.
Civil Defence personnel manifested their exceptional skills while combating the blaze in Address Hotel. They followed quick thinking and systematic procedure to extinguish the fire.
Civil Defence teams ambulance services came out as the real heroes.
It was such a heroic effort they manifested that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai also praised their efforts in controlling the fire.
A huge fire had broken out in the luxury Dubai hotel late on December 31, 2015, injuring 16 people, just a few hours before the emirate celebrated the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display nearby.
