A NEW executive head has been appointed at British School of Bahrain (BSB).
Jeff Smith will hold the post of overall executive head and will also fulfil the role of senior school head.
His appointment was announced by Inspired, a UK-based group of international schools which acquired BSB.
Mr Smith, who was former director and chief executive at Dubai Deira International School, has further enhanced his experience with a Master’s degree in International Education.
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the new position as executive head teacher and head of senior school,” said Mr Smith in a statement.
“I feel privileged to have been selected to lead the school through its next phase of development and continuous school improvements.”
BSB is undergoing several enhancements such as an expanded and redesigned cafeteria, a redesigned entry in infants, a new library in the senior building, and enhanced drama and music rooms

“He is known for his high expectations of students and staff, his drive and ambition and his track record of successful and sustainable school improvement.”
Mr Smith will be joined by Infants head Julie Anne Gilbert and Juniors head Robert Howe as part of the newly-defined management structure.
