Muscat – A new shopping website was launched for customers to buy their groceries online.
The Oman-based online hypermarket, 'Markeetex', is the brainchild of an Omani team.
The cyber service allows users to shop for their groceries and other household goods online, and receive their items at their doorstep in as short as 90 minutes, or at a time allocated by the customer.
Customers can shop for all food items such as meats, bread, milk, flour, fruits and vegetables.
Sarah Al Shidhani, the head of product development at Markeetex said, "More and more people have busy lives, therefore, saving time to go grocery shopping can be hard.
This service allows users to buy whatever is listed on our website, even while they are at work, and the items will arrive at their doorstep before they are home.
Markeetex was established a month ago but has been gaining popularity, thanks to the idea behind which is to simplify the daily activities of residents in Muscat.
Users can access the website via www.markeetex.com, then choose an item from the different categories provided such as fruit and vegetables, dairy and bakery, meats, beverages, household goods, canned, spices, baby goods, pet care, and body hygiene.
The website which provides information on the item such as price, weight, and a photo, only accepts cash payments when the items are delivered.
