The number of cases handled by Bahrain’s courts annually has reached 5,000 in addition to 80,000 crime-related complaints tackled by the Public Prosecution.
In its annual report, the Supreme Judicial Council described this increase as a major challenge facing its work besides the slow litigation procedures, delay in dispute settlement and shortage of court rooms among others .
