THE Cabinet yesterday reviewed the implementation of Royal directives to provide full compensation to citizens whose homes and vehicles were damaged by the hostile Iranian aggression.
It also expressed appreciation for the efforts made by relevant authorities in following up on the directives of His Majesty King Hamad and the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in this regard.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chaired the weekly meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet noted the joint meeting between the executive and legislative authorities regarding ongoing national efforts to address the effects of the hostile Iranian aggression, the measures undertaken by government entities and institutions to mitigate its effects across all sectors, as well as national crisis-management readiness, the swift national response, the continuity of services, and the dedicated efforts.
In this regard, HRH Prince Salman thanked the government officials who attended the meeting, led by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, for their efforts.
He also conveyed his appreciation to the legislative authority for its constructive and ongoing co-operation in support of these national efforts.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised that safeguarding national unity, the kingdom’s security and stability, and its assets is a shared responsibility.
This is supported by the collective efforts, contributions, and proposals of all members of society.
Such efforts strengthen the foundations of social cohesion and contribute to sustaining the kingdom’s development, prosperity, and progress, while advancing further achievements for Bahrain and future generations, he stressed.
The Cabinet further condemned the continued, heinous and deliberate attacks by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia.
It noted that it is a dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of the rules of the UN Charter as well as international and humanitarian law, which poses a threat to regional security and stability.
The Cabinet affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Bahrain’s national security and affirmed the kingdom’s wholehearted support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty and stability.
On World Teachers’ Day, the Cabinet commended the efforts of Bahraini professionals in the education sector in preparing the next generation to participate effectively in the kingdom’s comprehensive development.
Separately, the Cabinet expressed its pride in the dedicated efforts of His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Bapco Energies board of directors chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and all Bapco Energies personnel.
The Cabinet commended the competence, capability and the sense of national responsibility of all Bapco employees. It noted that their efforts in maintaining operational continuity ensured the efficiency of the kingdom’s energy system and safeguarded the continuity of its supply chains amid Iranian aggression.
The Cabinet also expressed its appreciation for the efforts and dedication of Alba’s employees in maintaining production, safeguarding the company’s competitive position within the global industrial landscape, and its continued contribution to international aluminium output amid the aggression.
The Cabinet emphasised that the employees of both Bapco Energies and Alba set the national standard in carrying out their duties.
Their actions reflect the determination of the people of Bahrain, the session noted.
