An orientation event for new volunteers was recently held by the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS).
Titled Volunteer with Impact, the two-day initiative introduced participants to the foundations and core principles of humanitarian work, while preparing them for active involvement in programmes and initiatives both in Bahrain and abroad.
Key topics included the history of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, the principles of humanitarian action and the importance of volunteering in serving communities.
Participants were also introduced to the society’s committees and programmes and took part in interactive activities aimed at strengthening teamwork and collaboration.
The event was attended by BRCS committee affairs assistant secretary-general Adel Al Jar, who welcomed the newcomers and reaffirmed the society’s commitment to providing an enabling environment that equips them for meaningful participation.
