MOTORSPORT – Bahraini-British GT team 2 Seas Motorsport are right back in action this weekend for round three of the GT World Challenge (GTWC) Europe 2026.
The meeting gets underway today and continues until Sunday at Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy.
2 Seas, co-owned by Bahrian’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, have a two-car entry in the event, which is to be headlined by a three-hour endurance race.
The trio of Dani Juncadella, Chris Lulham, and Jules Gounon will be sharing the driving duties in 2 Seas’ #3 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, which they are operating in co-operation with Team Verstappen Racing, owned by four-time Formula One drivers’ world champion Max Verstappen. They will be racing in the GTWC Europe’s Pro class.
2 Seas will also be hitting the track with their #222 Mercedes-AMG, with Reece Barr, Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss getting behind the wheel. They are competing in the series’ Bronze category.
The two challengers are part of a massive 57-car field that will be lining up on the grid in Monza, including 17 in Pro class, nine in Gold, 15 in Silver, and 16 in Bronze.
Racing begins today with a two-hour test session for the GTWC Europe’s Bronze runners, scheduled for a 4.45pm start.
Tomorrow, another two-hour test will be held from 5pm, and then two practice sessions will take place on Saturday at 10am and 3.25pm.
Qualifying will then get the action going on Sunday at 10.50am, setting the grid for the race, which is scheduled to flag off later in the day at 4.30pm.
All times are Bahrain.
2 Seas were last in action in the GTWC Europe two-day prologue at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium earlier this month, where they tested for the 24 Hours of Spa, taking place June 24 to 28 as the championship’s fourth round.
2 Seas also competed last weekend in the British GT Championship with a different pairing of drivers in their respective Mercedes-AMG contenders.
