Three tourism establishments have been shut down after ‘a number of violations’ related to tourism laws and regulations were identified, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced yesterday.
It added necessary administrative measures were taken against the three outlets. “This is in line with BTEA’s ongoing efforts to regulate the tourism sector, maintain the quality and standards of services provided by tourism establishments, and ensure compliance with approved regulations and requirements,” said a statement.
The authority added it would continue conducting inspection campaigns across the country, in co-ordination with relevant authorities. It reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the sector through enhanced oversight of facilities and establishments, contributing to the sector’s growth, maintaining its quality standards, and further strengthening Bahrain’s position as a leading tourism destination.
