BAHRAIN’S padel national teams both suffered losses yesterday in their opening assignments at the fourth GCC Games in Doha, Qatar.
The women’s team fell to their Kuwaiti counterparts 0-3, despite the valiant efforts of top players Mariam Alammadi, Shoug Alaseeri, Fatema Al Salem, Nazli Nader, Maryam Alaali, and Muneera Aldoseri.
Meanwhile, the men’s squad lost to the UAE team 0-3 in their tournament. In action for Bahrain were Rashid Alobaidli, Yusuf Qaed, Ali Dawani, Husain Dawani, Hassan Alqattan and Issa Alqattan.
The padel competitions continue at Doha’s Aspire Dome today until Wednesday, when the medal contests will be played.
