His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has expressed appreciation for Jordan’s solidarity for Bahrain in the face of the hostile Iranian aggression.
He also affirmed Bahrain’s firm support for Jordan in all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity.
HRH Prince Salman made the statement as he met Jordan’s King Abdulla, in the presence of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, during his visit to the country yesterday.
He highlighted the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Jordan, noting that bilateral relations between the two countries provide a solid foundation for an even stronger strategic partnership.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister outlined the support of His Majesty King Hamad and King Abdulla to the Bahrain-Jordan relationship, which has continued to go from strength to strength and contributed to the achievement of mutual aspirations.
He conveyed the greetings and wishes of His Majesty to King Abdulla for continued progress and prosperity for Jordan and its people.
King Abdulla extended his greetings and wishes to His Majesty for further development and prosperity for Bahrain and its citizens.
HRH Prince Salman commended the unwavering efforts of His Majesty in bolstering the Bahrain-Jordan partnership and King Abdulla’s position which have supported Bahrain.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the importance of further enhancing bilateral co-operation and joint efforts, and creating opportunities that benefit both kingdoms and their people.
The leaders also discussed avenues to further develop the bilateral partnership, as well as regional and international developments, and issues of mutual interest.
Earlier HRH Prince Salman was received by King Abdulla, and Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba on arrival.
Upon entering Jordanian airspace, the aircraft carrying HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was escorted by a squadron of the Royal Jordanian Air Force in a gesture of welcome.
