His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met King Abdulla of Jordan.
The meeting took place during His Royal Highness' visit to Jordan. Jordan Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah was also present in the meeting.
His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Jordan, noting that bilateral relations between the two countries provide a solid foundation for an even stronger strategic partnership.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister outlined the support of His Majesty King Hamad and King Abdulla to the Bahrain-Jordan relationship, which has continued to go from strength to strength and contributed to the achievement of mutual aspirations.
His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to King Abdulla, along with His Majesty’s best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Jordan and its people.
In return, King Abdulla extended his greetings to His Majesty, along with his wishes for further development and prosperity for Bahrain and its citizens.
HRH Prince Salman commended the unwavering efforts of King Abdulla in bolstering the Bahrain–Jordan partnership and his position which have supported the Kingdom of Bahrain.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Jordan's solidarity for Bahrain in the face of the hostile Iranian aggression, while also affirming Bahrain's firm support for Jordan in all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.
During the meeting, avenues to further develop the bilateral partnership, as well as regional and international developments, and issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
Upon arrival at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, His Royal Highness was received by King Abdulla and Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.
Upon entering Jordanian airspace, the aircraft carrying His Royal Highness was escorted by a squadron of the Royal Jordanian Air Force in a gesture of welcome on the occasion of His Royal Highness’s visit.
